Arctic Monkeys adalah Band. Sebuah Band asal Sheffield, Inggris. Dibentuk tahun 2002 oleh 4 anak muda yang sohiban dari kecil ( Alex, Jamie, Andy dan Matt), waktu mereka duduk di High School. ...Jadi semuanya berawal dari seorang bocah ingusan bernama Alex Turner yang dikasih gitar oleh orang tua nya sebagai hadiah natal. Mulailah si Alex belajar mainin gitar, waktu itu dia belajar chord lagu-lagu Oasis yang memang lagi terkenal saat itu. Bosan main gitar sendirian dia ngajak temen SMA nya Andy Nicholson dan Matt Helders serta Jamie Cook tetangganya untuk bikin band. Waktu ngumpul pertama kali rupanya Andy udah bawa guitar bass, Jamie udah main gitar bareng Alex sebelumnya, jadi Matt terpaksa harus main drum. WaitÂ… Sebenarnya sebelum Alex yang jadi vocal di band, mereka punya vocalis utama namanya Glyn Jones, tapi hanya bertahan sesaat, Si Glyn harus cabut dari band karena pengen lanjutin kuliah.

Tahun 2003 Arctic Monkeys mulai manggung di beberapa tempat di kota asal mereka sambilan membagikan CD lagu-lagu demo mereka secara gratis sehabis manggung ke penonton agar lebih kenal dan tahu dengan mereka. Semakin hari nama mereka semakin terkenal di saentro Inggris, sampai-sampai waktu mereka ngadain konser di London tahun 2005 karcisnya sold-out a.k.a ludes abis padahal saat itu mereka belum merilis satupun album, What amazing band.

Awal tahun 2006 mereka merilis album pertama yang dikasih judul “Whatever People Say I Am That’s What I’m Not” di bawah label Domino Record yang dengan luar biasanya terjual 360.000 copy lebih hanya dalam waktu seminggu. Album yang dirilis tanggal 23 January 2006 menasbihkan Arctic Monkeys menjadi band dengan debut album penjualan terbanyak di UK.

Disaat mereka mulai menikmati kesuksesan diawal karir, Andy keluar dari band karena alasan cedera dan posisinya digantikan oleh Nick O'Malley (ex- The Dogdems) pada bulan juli 2006. Dengan formasi sekarang : Alex ( vocal, guitar), Jamie (guitar), Nick (bass), dan Matt (drum). Arctic Monkeys menjelma menjadi band papan atas dunia.

Mereka bawain 2 lagu Arctic Monkeys (fake tales of sf sama only one who knows) dan bawa 2 lagu mereka sendiri. FYI vokalis Beatnikk itu vokalisnya Holy City Rollers juga hehehe. Mereka bener-bener ciamik dan yahud!

Kalo gasalah band ini nyanyiin reckless serenade (kalo gasalah loh ya soalnya gue bener bener lupa, sibuk sih mondar mandir hahaha). Ini band temennya reily kan? Keren nih. Keliatan lah udah punya jam terbang tersendiri hihihi.


The Young Liars
The Young Liars juga salah satu band yang jam terbangnya udah sabi nih. Mereka bawain Teddy Picker, Baby I'm Yours sama Suck It and See (kalo gasalah). Mereka juga kemaren bagi-bagi EP mereka.


Ten Indians Dancing
Band terakhir dan penutup yang manis dari rangkaian acara #tributetoAM. Harusnya mereka bertiga atau berempat gitu tapi drummer mereka sakit jadi gabisa ikut.
