Ieiri Leo dikelola oleh KEN-ON dan melakukan debutnya dibawah Victor Entertainment di tahun 2012 dengan single "Sabrina". Dia ditemukan oleh produser Nishio Yoshihiko dan dilatih di sekolah musik milik Nishio Yoshihiko di Fukuoka yang sudah pernah melatih artis seperti YUI, ayaka dan Maria.
Nama panggungnya berasal dari film Léon: The Professional, dan juga datang dari Leo (kartun Kimba the White Lion) karena matanya menyerupai singa.
Ieiri Leo adalah seorang penyanyi dan penulis lagu, lahir di Fukuoka pada bulan Desember 1994, mulai bermain piano di usia yang masih muda, dan ikut serta dalam paduan suara sekolahnya di sekolah dasar. Sangat tertarik pada musik dan drama dari kecil, ia dibesarkan dengan kesadaran yang kuat akan konsep "emosi" di dalam seni.
Pernah sekali, ia mendapatkan sebuah album foto dari Finlandia, ketika berpikir bahwa ia mungkin tidak akan dapat bertemu orang-orang yang ada di dalam foto tersebut membuat ia merasa sedih. Sebelum ia menyadarinya, ia mulai menulis pemikirannya yang terakumulasi melalui masa mudanya yang emosional tersebut dalam puisi, dan mulai menulis lagu ciptaannya sendiri bersamaan dengan dirinya yang menggali lebih dalam ke musik setiap harinya, yang akhirnya membawanya ke pintu dari VOICE Fukuoka Music School dengan sebuah gitar di tangannya pada umur 13 tahun.
Dengan pemikirannya di usia yang muda, ia mulai menulis "Sabrina" bersamaan dengan segala masalah yang menyelimutinya dan ketika ia selesai menulisnya di umur 15 tahun, ia memutuskan bahwa karir dalam dunia musik adalah hal yang murni sangat diinginkannya.
Pada musim semi tahun 2011, ia pindah ke Tokyo untuk hidup sendiri. Selain melanjutkan SMA, ia tetap menulis lagu-lagu dan berpartisipasi dalam banyak pertunjukan secara live.
Debut
Pada 15 Februari 2012, ia membuat major debut dengan "Sabrina". Single Sabrina digunakan sebagai ending dari anime Toriko dan sebagai ending dari acara TV Sokketsu! Wake Ari Nee-san EX. Single ini menduduki peringkat #9 di chart mingguan Oricon dan masuk chart selama 9 minggu.
Pada 9 Mei, ia merilis digital single pertamanya yang berjudul "Shine". Lagu ini digunakan sebagai theme song dari dorama Kaeru no Oujo-sama. Seminggu kemudian, lagu ini dirilis sebagai single keduanya. Single ini mencapai peringkat #7 di chart mingguan Oricon dan masuk chart selama 9 minggu.
Pada 12 September, ia merilis single ketiganya., "Bless You". Lagu B-side single ini yang berjudul "Ijiwaru na Kamisama" digunakan sebagai lagu CF Pocky. Single ini mencapai peringkat ke 8 di chart mingguan Oricon dan terjual sebanyak 14,498 kopi di minggu pertama penjualannya.
Pada 24 Oktober, ia merilis debut albumnya, LEO.

Ieiri Leo ranks high on recochoku prior to her debut

Online and mobile music portal Recochoku exclusively started distributing the full song for download prior to her debut and it already made it into the top five of the daily ranking for February 12th.
Ieiri commented about the success, “This is a song containing my feelings that I wrote in my small room when I was fifteen. On one hand it’s a bit embarrassing to let so many people listen to it now, but on the other hand I’m just incredibly happy.â€
On the day of her official debut, Ieiri is also going to tackle her first live performance for the few lucky people that were chosen from the over 1,000 applicants that wanted to get an invitation for this precious event. She basically has no live experience at all, except for the opening performance for the concert ‘MUSIC FOR ALL ALL FOR ONE‘ at the First Gymnasium of Yoyogi National Stadium in Tokyo in December of 2011. It was her very first public performance and she had to do it in front of more than 10,000 people who probably hadn’t heard about her yet.
Ieiri was discovered by producer Nishio Yoshihiko and trained at his music school in Fukuoka. He and his school already brought fourth talented artists such as YUI and ayaka. It seems like all signs are pointing towards a similar successful career for the young Ieiri.

Ieiri claimed that she was nervous before the live saying, “In the tent, I sat on the floor while grasping my legs and concentrated for about 3 minutes.†However, after her performance, she reflected, “It turned out to be a powerful live.â€
She also seemed excited to hold free lives in other places in Japan, “After reading the messages I receive, there are times I wonder ‘what kind of people write them?‘, so I’m happy that I get to meet them directly.â€

The album will contain a total of 13 tracks including Ieiri’s already released singles “Sabrina“, “Shine“, and “Bless You“. The limited edition will come with a DVD with the PV and making footage for “Ijiwaru na Kamisama“, live and backstage footage from ‘SETSTOCK’12‘, and a documentary featuring the singer’s performances from before her debut.
Additionally, Ieiri will be kicking off her first nationwide tour in her hometown of Fukuoka in January of 2013.

Ieiri Leo releases teaser and CM for her first album ‘LEO’

It was previously announced that singer-songwriter Ieori Leo will finally release her first album titled ‘LEO‘ on October 24th. To follow up, she has recently released a teaser and a CM spot on her YouTube channel in order to hype up her fans even more.
The 43-second teaser for ‘LEO’ features songs that haven’t been released yet, while the 30-second CM spot features her past three hit songs “Sabrina“, “Shine“, and “Bless You“. There are also plans for more teasers until the release of the album in order to give us a taste of the other songs that haven’t been included in the first teaser yet.
Moreover, Ieiri will perform at two school festivals at the Daito Bunka University in Tokyo on November 3rd and at the Nihon Fukushi University in Mihama, Aichi on November 18th.
